After being invited to the Autumn/Winter 2016 – House of Fraser event in One Marylebone, I thought what an opportunity to sample what they had in store for us in the near future. I arrived early to the event as the doors didn’t open until 09:00 on the dot. I managed to take a few quick snaps of the event from the outside, being a beautifully sunny day in London I had to make the most of the sun.
09:00 arrived and it was time to enter the building, I was greeted at the front entrance of the event, the lady showed me around the venue and gave me a quick explanation of what they were trying to bring to their new AW16 collection, I was obviously interested in the new menswear and what they had to offer, I saw that they had gone for a strong Nordic themed styling of their new range, along with some more edgy colours a suit in particular – which was vivid red. Overall I enjoyed wandering through the collection of clothes that were on show, all being presented in a well lit and clean large room within One Marylebone. I personally cannot wait for them to release the AW16 collection, I will be making a quick visit to House of Fraser to purchase a few clothes from the range, but one item in particular I will be making mine come Autumn/Winter will be the turtle-neck block coloured jumper.
When coming across the stall for the new Kenneth Cole Blue Aftershave fragrance I could not help myself I had to sample it. As you could imagine it smelt great! Masculine, but subtle and not too overpowering which is what any modern day man would want to be wearing. It was presented in a stylish blue glass bottle and would look very good amongst the other range of aftershaves I have at home, probably taking centre stage.
I very much liked what Kenneth Cole had to offer, not only did they have a new fragrance, they also had a brand new bag that they were launching. I’ll have to get my hands on this soon, would be ideal to take as hand luggage to Thailand in the next few weeks.
Finding myself exploring what else House of Fraser had to offer I found myself next door in the women’s section after being led around by another lady from the PR team.
The lady also showed me downstairs, which consisted of their home-ware collection which was a credit to how hard they must have worked behind the scenes on styling. Attention to detail was noted and I believed that there was a few styling tips that I learnt from this visit, as I will be kitting out my new house in July this year.
Before leaving with a with new ideas for my home and potential purchases for the future of my wardrobe making sure not to miss out on the bag printing too.
Thank you to House of Fraser for inviting me to their latest event.
