The penultimate destination after jumping from island to island on our amazing adventure around the wonderful Thailand and it couldn’t have finished in a better place than this, a beautiful and modern hotel. If you were to build your own hotel, then this would be it, stylish, sleek, located right on the beach and huge. Only located 5km away from the airport and located close to the excitement of the town.
As soon as we walked into the hotel we were greeted by the fantastic concierge. As we walked through the reception we were amazed at how stunning this hotel was. We felt very lucky to be staying in a place like this, a huge swimming pool took centre stage when coming to the hotel. The concierge showed us around the massive room that they had kindly provided for our stay.
We both were excited to explore the hotel grounds and what was on offer. The pool was rather large, with access to cocktails and food throughout the day. Also it was within a few metres of Chaweng beach and the beautiful blue sea.
With the sun shining bright we chilled in and by the pool with a banana-colada in hand a snack, the ultimate way to start drawing to a close our amazing adventure.
The hotel itself had an amazing modern theme to it, which was clear for all to see when lounging by the pool or taking a stroll along the sandy beach.
Later that night we were treated by the hotel staff to a candle lit dinner on Chaweng beach, to which we were spoiled with a plethora of choice from Thailand’s vast food cuisine. Anything from chicken to very large prawns within a locally inspired sauce or seasoning. It was truly idyllic, nothing could have been more perfect at that very moment as we watched the sun set and a surprising green light illuminate the night sky. Not to dissimilar to the northern lights – however the local staff later explained that the green lights were in fact fishing boats that use the green light to attract the fish and warn over boats of their presence. Either way it was a beautiful view.
After a wonderful nights sleep we explored the hotels breakfast room which was huge, a unending amount of choice which also had chefs that would make pretty much anything you desired. Once full we thought to explore the town, only being a short 5 minute walk we ventured into all of the shops and witnessed the sheer amount of clothing and items for sale at a ridiculously cheap price. With food on offer at quarter of the price that we would normally pay in Europe.
Sadly we had to leave this beautiful place, however we both vowed to return one day as it was such a magical place.
